Modern Apartment

This project was to test our skill in lighting and composition. Of course we had fun authoring all the textures of our selected room to render out.
All texture shots featured were created in Substance Designer. V-ray for Maya was used to render the final stills.

Early light testing. I'd originally wanted the room to be lit on a really sunny day.

Closeup of the tea set on the coffee table. Wasn't quite feeling the moss balls in the back.

Finla render of the tea set. Moss balls were replaced; subsurface scatter was used on the milk mesh.

Final render of the room's wide shot. I'd opted for a softer mid-afternoon to early evening light instead to accentuate the wall art.
